* Shift key broken in one application

Does anyone know how to fix a non-functioning shift key that only
shows up in one application under Dosemu?

I'm trying to use the Nota Bene word processor (v. 4.5). I can't
get capital letters with either shift key.

The shift keys work fine in every other application I've used under
Dosemu.

I'm running dosemu 1.0.2

Any troubleshooting tips or fixes appreciated.

Thanks.

Curt

Keyboard code of 1.0.x dosemu is no longer
supported. You have to upgrade and try out a
new code. This doesn't necessary solve your
problems, but at least this is a kind of supported
a bit more than not at all:)
I have collected the keyboard-related patches here
(as Stephen Lee asked to):
http://dosemu.sourceforge.net/stas/kbd_patches.tar.gz
They seem to fix most of the currently known problems.

Officially - probably not, but this is how the
things are going right now for quite some time.

1.0.2.1

1.1.3.2 uses it. As for 1.0.x - it's future is
unclear. We haven't heard from that people for
quite too long, so my own opinion is that 1.0.x
is dead and anyone who using it is on his own with
his problems.
I don't want to piss off Bart or Hans so I repeat:
this is only my own opinion which you can ignore
and keep waiting for 1.0.3 :)

Yes, I'll update it to say 1.0.2.1. I already removed the 1.0.2 binary
links there a few weeks ago.

Essentially the best thing that could happen is that someone would step up
and help Hans to maintain the stable series.

No. The new keyboard code in 1.1.3.x is still relatively untested.
The plan is to stabilize 1.1.3.x, 1.1.4, maybe 1.1.5 into 1.2.0.

This is just the things are - use dosemu-1.0.2.1; if you need a specific
feature or fix that is only in 1.1.3 then use that (on your own risk).

That 1.1.3 happens to be more stable in many circumstances is just a
curiosity ;)
