Subject: xdosemu broken after xorg6.8.2-1
Date: Fri, 01 Apr 2005 19:53:42 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <424DED16.7040300@levitjames.com> (raw)
I had a perfectly working install of dosemu finally, yesterday,
configured to run ProComm which I need because it does vt220 terminal
emulation really well. But I digress. A yum upgrade to my system put
xorg-x11*6.8.2-1 and all its packages on my machine. Today, when I ran
xdosemu I get the following error and xdosmenu never starts:
/usr/local/bin/dosemu.bin: symbol lookup error:
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXxf86vm.so.1: undefined symbol: XextFindDisplay
This is being broken up by line-wrapping but it's actually one long line.
I found a reference to this issue in the archives:
http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-msdos@vger.kernel.org/msg02868.html
I'm not sure that this really applies. Can someone please help this
Linux beginner understand what's going on? Dosemu still runs just fine,
by the way. It's only the X version that's broken.
