I am trying out the "lightweight desktop system" xfce4 (version
4.3.99). In xfce4 you can make "launcher icons" on the desktop.
When I do this for launching dosemu (version 1.3.3.1), the
keyboard behaves strangely: the E key produces C (and e produces
c). This only happens when dosemu is started by a "desktop
launcher"; when it is started from the command line, or from a
menu, the keyboard behaves normally.

It seems that dosemu is the only program with this keyboard
problem when started from a "launcher icon".

What sort of bug could this be?

Regards, Jan

it's hard to see what is 1.3.3.1without a date because it must be some
CVS or SVN snapshot. Can you try again with 1.3.4 or a current SVN
snapshot? There were a few keyboard fixes around October last
year.

You are right, my 1.3.3.1 was an SVN shapshot from about last
summer (compiled with the FM sound patch), and this bug does not
occur with 1.3.4.

Strange bug though, being dependent on how dosemu is called.
