Hi everybody,

I was wondering if any of u have tried "walking
through" the linux kernel.

I wanted to uderstand the kernel functioning so wanted
to do so. I have all the sources with me. Thing is I
was wondering where I should start. In fact even the
sources are not that necessary because I found a
pretty good site at

http://lxr.linux.no/source/arch/i386/

but although they have wonderfully cross linked
everything I still don't have an idea where to start
so that I can watch the control flow etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry if I wasted ur
time.

Thanks a lot
Panda

  Hi Panda. Best Regards.

The primary site for the beginners in the Linux kernel is

     http://kernelnewbies.org

There you can find a lot links, articles, specific mailing
lists, how to join the irc channel (very recommended), books
for begin to learn, and much more.

Another great site, with a very very interesting articles is

     http://lwn.net/Kernel

I hope you have enough with this two by now.

  Very good luck.

  Regards.

  Jose.
