I see there are no UML builds yet on
http://kisskb.ellerman.id.au/kisskb/matrix/.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to add them?

sorry i don't understand how to read the table.   my target is x86
32bit UML, compiler is x86 32bit as well.   and the defconfig i used
is arch/um/defconfig, with some modification.

We would love to, but we can't figure out how to cross build an x86 based
uml kernel on a powerpc machine.  Any hints?

Haven't tried it, but something like ARCH=um SUBARCH=x86 should work...
