Ming,

With earlier releases of Kernel 2.6 we had to rely on the board driver to
put this information in the proc file system. We were using Emulex boards
whose drivers performed this service.

In later versions of 2.6, some entity has been placing this information in
the sys directory. We are using a Red Hat derivative, but we think that
this is independent of the distribution.

Look in /sys/class/fc_host/hostX for
entries port_name and node_name. Most
but not all fc drivers implement this.
Others may export data in /proc or provide
their own utility to get it.
