I have um sound chip on board SoundPro, CMI8330, and I want
to install the sound driver.

What is the best, the driver of the kernel ditribution or
someone else (4front-tech, etc)?

Does somebody know this chip?

I have this sound chip too. It's actually a PCI bus sound chip usually
built on the motherboard. I don't know any linux sound driver that
supports this sound chip. I'm still looking forward for it. Just want
to let you know that you're not alone.

Regards,
William

I have one on my motherboard and it works fine using the ALSA
SB16 drivers (http://alsa.jcu.cz/)
