Hello!
I need your advice and comments from your experience.
I want to buy a new sound card to replace my "old but reliable yet" SB16.
I would like to replace it with a sound card capable of using wave table
for Instrument synthesis for midi songs, and the Linux driver should be
fully functional (wave, opl, recording ok, etc.)
And I have 3 choices from my local computer retailer:
1.- SB AWE 128 pci card
2.- SB PCI 128 Ensoniq chipset ct4810
3.- SB 512 PCI
Which one has better support in Linux?
I am avoiding the SB Live, since the drivers are alpha and has some bugs.
Apparently the SB 512 uses the same emu10k chipset as the SB Live?
thanks for your attention and any feedback.
bye,

-Herman
