The arch/ppc had a bit different partition table.
Something like this:
mtd0: 00180000 00040000 "kernel"
mtd1: 00200000 00040000 "root"
mtd2: 03bc0000 00040000 "user"
mtd3: 00080000 00040000 "env"
mtd4: 00040000 00040000 "u-boot"
Thanks,
Valentine.

* Re: Please pull powerpc.git for-2.6.25 branch

Linus,
Please do
git pull \
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/paulus/powerpc.git for-2.6.25
I have added a few more commits since yesterday's pull request: some
commits updating the 4xx support from Josh Boyer's tree, a compile fix
for 52xx, and a string of commits from Roland McGrath to convert
powerpc over to using the new user_regset stuff for ptrace and core
dumps.
The diffstat and log below show all the commits that are waiting to be
pulled, including the ones in the previous pull request.
Thanks,
Paul.

Hrm... this macro should -define- CLOCK_REALTIME_RES, not rely on an
existing definition...

Mine is off one line from Christoph's because I have the patch I posted
installed. I just comment out the #ifdef to get the error. Here is the
output after a make clean.
make -C /home/seanm/taco/for-2.6.25/

The warp was originally called the taco, thus the directory name.

* html tag creation using 'C'
From: pjmaiya @ 2008-02-06 11:16 UTC (permalink / raw)

hi,
Using 'C' code I need to generate HTML tag for 'table' creation. Each table row may contain one more table and I need to control each parameter of the table.
I don't want to use printf since my table may grow dyanmically. I want to use data structure(especially linked list).
Does anybody has idea on this.
To organzie my data in HTML page, I will be putting data inside 'table'. This organization becomes complex as different group of data arises.
Each cell of table may contain one more table to show these grouped data.
For example.
Table1

CLOCK_REALTIME_RES is defined in include/asm/asm-offsets.h, which is
generated from asm-offsets.c as part of the build.
Your config builds fine here, so please post the actual error that you
are seeing during the build?

What are the exact error and config? I haven't been able to reproduce
this with several defconfigs and toggling CONFIG_HIGH_RES_TIMERS.

Same error. I did a search for CLOCK_REALTIME_RES and it is not defined
in any *.[chS] file.

* [PATCH] Fix powerpc vdso clock_getres().
From: Tony Breeds @ 2008-02-07 6:47 UTC (permalink / raw)
To: Thomas Gleixner, Paul Mackerras, Linux Kernel ML, LinuxPPC-dev
Since implementing highres timers on powerpc the clock_getres syscall
has reported different resolutions due to the vdso using the a low res
value. In the patch d7f71674ad7c3c4467e48f6ab9e85516dae2720
([POWERPC] Use a sensible default for clock_getres() in the VDSO), the
powerpc vdso was updated to use the correct value.
This fix doesn't work on older compilers. Below is a fix for powerpc,
that introduces a new (generic) #define MONOTONIC_RES_NSEC which is
equal to the 64 value stored in KTIME_MONOTONIC_RES.

Paul, here's the fixup patch for my rebase screwup. This solves the
mpc52xx compile failure.
The following changes since commit de0723dcca6e593a12a259798a54eb0e82628fb8:
Nathan Fontenot (1):
[POWERPC] Update default irq servers when boot cpu is removed

both?
Newer compilers (gcc-4.1 and on) cope happily. I'm working on a fix to
the fix ;P

Hmm, this commit breaks ppc32 (mpc5200) build with my cross compiler
(ELDK 4.1; gcc 4.0; binutils 2.16.1). Is this a bug in the code or
the compiler?

Gah! I caused some patch damage when I rebased the patches. I'll

Hmm very sorry guys. I /did/ build and boot pmac32_defconfig. I have
no idea how that worked.

Yeah it's needed, so this patch isn;t the best solution. I'll fix this
ASAP.

Ok, here is my best shot at removing the warnings. It seems to me that
functions called from a dev_init section should not be dev_exit.

I have the same problem with current powerpc.git. At least it's a
different problem from yesterdays kernel/module.c not compiling :)

I just did a git pull of Josh's tree, and
arch/powerpc/kernel/asm-offsets.c does not compile. I have only been
glossing over the linuxppc-dev emails, so forgive me if this already
came up.
It looks like, at least for the Warp, CLOCK_REALTIME_RES is not defined
so asm-offsets.c gets an error. The following patch fixes it.... but I
am not sure it is right since I don't know if CLOCK_REALTIME_RES should
be defined.
Cheers,
Sean

* [PATCH] [POWERPC] Disable G5 NAP mode during SMU commands on U3
From: Benjamin Herrenschmidt @ 2008-02-07 3:29 UTC (permalink / raw)
To: Paul Mackerras; +Cc: linuxppc-dev
It appears that with the U3 northbridge, if the processor is in NAP
mode the whole time while waiting for an SMU command to complete,
then the SMU will fail. It could be related to the weird backward
mechanism the SMU uses to get to system memory via i2c to the
northbridge that doesn't operate properly when the said bridge is
in nap'ing along with the CPU. At least on U3, U4 doesn't seem to
be affected.
This didn't show before NO_HZ as the timer wakeup was enough to make
it work it seems, but that is no longer the case.
This patch fixes it by disabling NAP mode on those machines while
an SMU command is in flight.

* Please pull powerpc.git for-2.6.25 branch
From: Paul Mackerras @ 2008-02-07 3:22 UTC (permalink / raw)
To: torvalds; +Cc: linuxppc-dev
Linus,
Please do
git pull \
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/paulus/powerpc.git for-2.6.25
to get another powerpc update for 2.6.25. Various bug fixes have come
in, plus there are a few patches that I missed from the previous set.
Thanks,
Paul.
