Oops is happening when I'm loading a module while having scanner
connected to USB (HP SJ 4470c) or when the module is already loaded and
i'm connecting the scanner. It does not depend on usb modularization: if
usb is in core, oopsa happens at boot time.

[-- Attachment #2: Type: TEXT/PLAIN, Size: 5767 bytes --]
ksymoops 2.4.4 on i686 2.5.7. Options used
-V (default)
-k /proc/ksyms (default)
-l /proc/modules (default)
-o /lib/modules/2.5.7/ (default)
-m /boot/System.map-2.5.7 (default)
Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will
assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running
right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.

Do you have CONFIG_DEBUG_SLAB enabled in your .config? If so, this is a
known bug the uhci.c author is trying to track down, please send this
info directly to him. In the meantime, use usb-uhci.o to get your
machine to work properly.
thanks,
