* [PATCH V2] bgmac: fix "cmdcfg" calls for promisc and loopback modes

The last (bool) parameter in bgmac_cmdcfg_maskset says if the write
should be made, even if value didn't change. Currently driver doesn't
match the specs about (not) forcing some changes. This makes it follow
them.

The BCM4785 or sometimes named BMC4705 is a Broadcom SoC which a
Gigabit 5750 Ethernet core. The core is connected via PCI with the rest
of the SoC, but it uses some extension.

This core does not use a firmware or an eeprom.

Some devices only have a switch which supports 100MBit/s, this
currently does not work with this driver.

This patch was original written by Michael Buesch <m@bues.ch> and is in
OpenWrt for some years now.

This was tested on a Linksys WRT610N V1 and older versions of this patch
were tested by other people on different devices.

In OpenWrt we currently use a switch driver which uses the ioctls to
configure the switch in the phy. We have to provide the phy_id to do
so, but without this patch this is not possible.

The mac address is already stored in the sprom structure by the
platform code of the SoC this Ethernet core is found on, it just has to
be fetched from this structure instead of accessing the nvram here.
This patch also adds a return value to indicate if a mac address could
be fetched from the sprom structure.
When CONFIG_SSB_DRIVER_GIGE is not set the header file now also declares
ssb_gige_get_macaddr().

  - [PATCH net 2/2] net: sctp: sctp_auth_key_put: use kzfree instead of kfree
  - [PATCH net-next] net: sctp: sctp_auth_make_key_vector: remove duplicate ntohs calls

can be applied as is. (If necessary, I could send the first one _unchanged_ as a
single patch again, since it was part of a patchset. However, it will apply
cleanly as we have it right here.)

Then, to avoid any future confusion and to stay consistent, I'll convert this
to sctp_auth_create_key() API as well and make use of the sctp_auth_key_put()
in a later possible patch *after* those two have been applied.

Not strictly a bug.  The vectors are temporary and directly freed by the 
caller.   They are only used by sctp_auth_asoc_create_secret() which 
builds the association secret key.  The vectors are destroyed at the end

If you are going to convert to using sctp_auth_create_key() then you
need to convert the callers to user to use sctp_auth_key_put(). 
Otherwise you are leaking object counts.

I just had a look into the original source provided with my Router for
this chip and you are right, this code should be placed after the checks
for specific chips. I will resend this patch series. This
ONE_DMA_AT_ONCE does not affect my Ethernet core, because this should
only be done for rev < 2 bcm4785 chips and mine is rev 2.

* Access Network Device Driver from the Kernel

Dear all
I want to implement Openss7 over Sangoma A104 card. Openss7 is a
Stream (includes some modules in the kernel)and I want to communicate
with the card driver (Wanpipe) from this Stream (from the lowest
module). Does anybody have a general idea for this? I have worked on
this for more than one month and I have reached to this approach:
At one hand I should build a Stream (kernel modules) based on Openss7
and at the other hand I should read and write Wanpipe from the lowest
kernel module of the Stream. As far as I know Wanpipe is a network
device driver (Correct me if I am wrong!) and I should read this
device with socket programming from the user space but how from the
kernel space? If I am completely wrong: I would be very thankful if
somebody suggests another approach.

This is a resubmission.
Added "const" to ethtool_ops structure and fixed the coding style of AX88179_BULKIN_SIZE array.
Fixed the issue that the default MTU is not 1500.
Added ax88179_change_mtu function and enabled the hardware jumbo frame function to support an
MTU higher than 1500.
Fixed indentation and empty line coding style errors.
The _nopm version usb functions were added to access register in suspend and resume functions.
Serveral variables allocted dynamically were removed and replaced by stack variables.
ax88179_get_eeprom were modified from asix_get_eeprom in asix_common.

This patch adds a driver for ASIX's AX88179 family of USB 3.0/2.0
to gigabit ethernet adapters. It's based on the AX88xxx driver but
the usb commands used to access registers for AX88179 are completely different.
This driver had been verified on x86 system with AX88179/AX88178A and
Sitcomm LN-032 USB dongles.

This is a minimal patch to avoid the crash, for 3.8.

At the moment, macvtap crashes are observed if macvtap is attached
to an interface with LRO enabled.
The crash in question is BUG() in macvtap_skb_to_vnet_hdr.
This happens because several drivers set gso_size but not gso_type
in incoming skbs.
This didn't use to be the case: with intel cards on 3.2 and older
kernels, with qlogic - on 3.4 and older kernels, so it's a regression if
not a recent one.
The following patches fix this for qlogic, broadcom and intel drivers.

I tested that the patch fixes the crash for ixgbe but
don't have qlogic/broadcom hardware to test.
I also only tested TCPv4.

Please review, and consider for 3.8.

What seems to be happening is that the switch is constantly requesting
GVRP updates. Once eth0 is added to the bridge, the bridge has preference
over local protocol (LLC) delivery. Since the packet has a link local
destination and your bridge doesn't seem to have STP enabled, the
bridge decides to forward the packet. Since its a multicast destination,
the packet is finally passed up to LLC, but the receiving device is
the bridge, not eth0. When the packet reaches the GARP input handler,
no garp_port is associated to the device and the packet is dropped.
This result is that the GARP protocol doesn't notice that the switch
expects an update and the switch finally removes the VLAN.

So the solution is: put the VLAN on the bridge device.

This was intended. Inserting the marked one then the unmarked
is a working scenario. Some users might rely on it, so we can't
change this as you proposed.

On the other hand, inserting the unmarked one then the marked
might result in a wrong policy lookup, so we can't allow this.
The only possibility we have, is inserting with different
priorites and that's what I'm proposing.

I fear we have to live with that asymmetric behaviour if
both policies have the same priority.

Add support for setting embedded switch fdb in case of SRIOV, by
implementing ndo_fdb_{add, del, dump}. This will allow to use
bridged configuration with multi-function. In order to add VM MAC
to the eSwitch fdb, the following command may be used over the relevant function interface:
bridge fdb add <MAC> permanent self dev <IFACE>
