            Unable to uncompress iptables-1.2.11 file... 

 

[root@sipxpbx src]# uncompress -v iptables-1.2.11.tar.bz2

iptables-1.2.11.tar.bz2 - no .Z suffix

 

            Please advice.

You should do tar -jxvvf iptables-1.2.11.tar.bz2, or bunzip2 the file
and the issue a tar -xvvf

Or bunzip2 iptables-1.2.11.tar.bz2 | tar -xv

The file is compressed with bzip2, you should use bunzip2 to
uncompress it, or just tar -xjvf to unpack the package.
