configure was querying the host's page size. Avoid this and set a value
based on the target insteadl. aarch64 is the only one we commonly build
which isn't 4k as far as I know.

Changed

Inline processors now resume searching after the previous match, improving
performance for repeated inline patterns (#1619).
Officially support Python 3.15 and drop support for Python 3.10
Walk backtick runs in BacktickInlineProcessor without a regex (#1620).
Switch static site generator for documentation from MkDocs to Zensical
    (#1627, #1635, #1637, and #1638).

Fixed

Ensure removing Abbreviations does not raise an error (#1634).
Fix an issue with excessive backtracking when matching inline code blocks (#1617).
md_in_html now honors tags added to Markdown.block_level_elements after
    the extension is loaded (#1246).
Fix quadratic-time regex backtracking in ReferenceProcessor when a link
reference definition has no URL, e.g. a line consisting only of [id]:
followed by many trailing spaces (#798).
    Document attr_list usage for def_list (#1123).

* pam_unix: removed support for creating new DES/bigcrypt hashed passwords.
* Login with existing DES/bigcrypt passwords is still possible.
* pam_unix: changed the default hash algorithm from DES to SHA512.
* pam_unix: always use unix_update helper if SELinux is enabled.
* pam_unix: fixed option parsing that could silently ignore "quiet" and
"minlen=" depending on configuration line order.
* pam_access: fixed matching of fully qualified usernames.
* pam_env: fixed buffer allocation that could result in insufficient space.
* pam_faillock: fixed tally loss under concurrent auth failures that could
allow the deny= threshold to be bypassed.
* pam_faillock: added logging when preauth denies access to a locked account.
* pam_group: fixed out-of-bounds read in wildcard matching.
* pam_limits: fixed maxlogins/maxsyslogins limits that could incorrectly
  deny login.
* pam_namespace: fixed resource leaks on configuration parse errors.
* pam_pwhistory: allow earlier passwords when remember count is reduced.
* pam_selinux: fixed memory leaks and corrected swapped arguments in log
  messages.
* pam_sepermit: fixed crash on malformed config lines, hardened lock file
handling, and fixed leaking file descriptors on exec.
* pam_succeed_if: fixed broken ruser matching and prevented logging unknown
  user names in plaintext.
* pam_time: fixed out-of-bounds read in wildcard matching, fixed day-of-week
* parsing, and ignore rules with malformed time fields.
* pam_umask: validate umask, pri and ulimit values in GECOS.
* pam_userdb: fixed password comparison timing leak.
* Multiple minor bug fixes, build fixes, portability fixes,
  documentation improvements, and translation updates.

I might be missing something, but I think the aarch64 case can still leak.
In configure.ac, right after the cached sysconf check there's:

AS_CASE([$build_cpu], [aarch64*], ... erofs_cv_max_block_size=16384 ...)

so on an aarch64 worker building qemux86-64 the cached 4096 still gets bumped to 16384.
When I tried the v1.9.4 configure with --build=aarch64-linux --host=x86_64-linux, config.h ended up with 16384.

Passing MAX_BLOCK_SIZE=${BLOCKSIZE} instead seems to skip that whole block.
The next 119 run should show it, as long as reproducibleA picks up erofs-utils from x86_64 sstate.

Thanks,
Sunil

You may well be correct. I'd isolated it to the blocksize and the patch
is in testing but might not fully work :(. I was planning to verify
before merging. I sent it as it at least points at where the issue
is...

It sounds like setting MAX_BLOCK_SIZE instead would be the thing to do
as you say.

Cheers,

Richard
