How about something like:
IMAGE_ROOTFS_EXTRA_SPACE += "${@base_contains("PACKAGE_INSTALL", "zypper", " + 51200", "" ,d)}"
?
Not perfect but should basically work for what we need until we find a
bettr fix for zypper itself.
