Hi,

I've been waiting for this this patchset:
https://review.gerrithub.io/c/spdk/spdk/+/417056

What version of vpp is this supposed to be used with? I assume it's
19.01+. I want to use 19.01 and it looks like this new session API is
required to work with the later versions of vpp. Just wondering
the timeline on this being merged.

This is for VPP 19.01.1. The patch set is now merged to SPDK master.

Hi Jonathan,

As Ben mentioned, the implementation that was just merged targets VPP 19.01.1. With some additional changes required - see documentation https://spdk.io/doc/vpp_integration.html (it should update soon, since patches were merged only recently).

Side note: there is effort on bringing the VPP version up to 19.04 as well:
