Subject: Backport request for 4.9.y & 4.14.y
Date: Mon, 11 Mar 2019 09:56:39 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <29607c38-a92c-4cef-a4e5-a31c3ea89d0e@www.fastmail.com> (raw)

Hi,

I'm seeing kernel crashes on the Beaglebone Black with 4.9.y / 4.14.y kernels built with CONFIG_THUMB2_KERNEL enabled. I've fixed this locally by backporting commit afc9f65e01cd114cb2cedf544d22239116ce0cc6 "ARM: 8781/1: Fix Thumb-2 syscall return for binutils 2.29+". I'd rather not carry this locally though so would it be possible to get this backported to the 4.9.y and 4.14.y stable series?

Let me know if you need me to do any more investigation or to send the kernel oops details.

Thanks,
