[Tech-board-discuss] Self nomination for TAB (fwd)

After discussion with a few people, who encouraged me to nominate, I will 
put my money where my MUA is and nominate for the TAB election.

For reference, here's my kernel development background:

  o SELinux kernel maintainer.

  o Kernel networking co-maintainer.
  
  o Author of the kernel cryptographic API.

  o Netfilter emeritus core team member.

  o Developer on the Linux Security Modules (LSM) project.

  o Miscellaneous kernel development including work on PCI device
    drivers, VFS and IPSec.


Personal statement:

I've been working on the kernel and participating in the community for 
approximately eight years, primarily in the areas of security and 
networking.  I have experience both as a principal developer and also in a 
guidance role, assisting others with the mainline acceptance process.

Prior to my current role at Red Hat, I ran a consulting business for eight 
years, working with personnel at every organizational level, across a wide 
range of private and public sector segments.

My motivation, having invested much of my life in the Linux project, is to 
help ensure the long term viability of the project both as a community 
effort and as leading mainstream technology.

As a TAB member, I believe I'll be able to provide useful advice to 
organizations seeking productive involvement with the community, while 
keeping paramount the best interests of the community.
