It is possible booting Linux from SD Card or USB mass storage device?

I am using U-boot 1.3.2.

Hi,

SD boot is possible. I already got it working on at91sam9g20.

But just first chance your release.
First go to 2009.08 and try to get it working.

Then you have to check if an sd driver for your CPU already implemented.
