On my side:
mathieu@meije ~/u-boot [env]$ awk --version
GNU Awk 5.2.1, API 3.2, PMA Avon 8-g1
and I have a similar result with:
mathieu@FRMONPC1176:~$ awk --version
GNU Awk 5.0.1, API: 2.0 (GNU MPFR 4.0.2, GNU MP 6.2.0)
