Try ghostview (ie "gv").

redhat 6.1 (running on my ultra-1) came with a program called "xpdf" that
seems to work just fine... the man page gives the following address for
more info:

xpdf certainly works fine. acroread doesn't work. ghostview works for most
pdfs, as well.
