I am experiencing challenges in integrating the meta-marvell layer with the Yocto Scarthgap branch. Here are the specific issues I'm encountering:

*Python Version Compatibility* : The meta-marvell layer was last updated for the Krogoth branch, which uses Python 2.x. However, the Scarthgap branch requires Python 3.8 or later, leading to incompatibility issues.

* 

*Syntax Errors* : There are numerous syntax-related errors arising from the differences between the Krogoth and Scarthgap releases, which are creating significant hurdles in the build process.

Given these challenges, I am seeking guidance on how to address these compatibility issues. Specifically, I would appreciate advice on:

* *Updating the meta-marvell Layer* : Steps to update the meta-marvell layer to be compatible with Python 3.x and the Scarthgap branch.
* *Resolving Syntax Issues* : Strategies for resolving the syntax errors introduced by the gap between the Krogoth and Scarthgap releases.

I would suggest that you don't seek 'generic' guidance, but rather
show the specific errors that you're not sure how to resolve, and then
we can try to help.

An alternative option is to investigate whether your board can be
directly supported by the standard linux-yocto kernel and bootloader,
and then make your own tiny BSP layer that sets those appropriately.

What's the board you're using, exactly? Did you try to approach
Marvell for guidance first?

Thank you for your response.

I’m working with the Marvell Armada 7040 board and haven't reached out to Marvell for support yet.

While integrating the meta-marvell layer from the krogoth branch into the scarthgap Yocto workspace, I encountered several syntax errors, which I’ve since resolved.

However, I've now run into a new build error related to SPDX.
