Hi All,
I have a AMD K2 500 mhz comp with a 4 ghz h/d running Slackware 9 and
LinPac with the ax25 programs for packet....i usually use a Baycom modem
but it has gone belly up so have pressed a PaComm TNC320 into
service.....it works well in KISS mode.
However there one or two commands that i need to put into the tnc but
cant do it with LinPac...
Does anyone know of a Linux terminal program that can be used to work a
tnc in Command Mode.....preferably one that does not use X windows.....
Have looked on Radio.linux.org.au but cant seem to see one there...i
might be a bit dumb here hi hi....

Thanks for all your help

minicom. Great terminal program, doesn't need X-windows.

What do you need. To operate packet in command mode, or just
to give your tnc a few commands before switching to kiss
mode?

You definitely want minicom.

Dave, I have tried minicom and seyon, and both were a little
disappointing to me. I started using Kermit and never went back to the
others.

Back to the roots. I'm using cu which comes as part of UUCP.
