Hello,
I have some trouble checking my reiser4 partition. I use fsck.reiser4 version
0.4.19 and libaal version 0.4.14 on linux-2.6.0-test11. I've attached the
logfile and the output from dmesg.
I dont know if it is a bug in fsck.reiser4, but if there is really an error on
my partition (everything works well 'til now), i think it should be possible
to correct it via fsck.
I've already tried to use the newest bitkeeper-sources of
libaal/reiserfs4progs, but the reiserfs4progs won't compile.
Thanks in advance for your attention!
Jan Fengler

It seems this bug was already fixed, we have not released
another reiser4progs snapshot yet, so you can wait a bit for
the coming release or you can get the code from our bk
repositories:
bk clone bk://bk.namesys.com/bk/libaal
bk clone bk://bk.namesys.com/bk/reiser4progs

you need the latest libaal to be installed first.
bk clone bk://bk.namesys.com/bk/libaal
prepare
configure
make
make install
ldconfig
Then you can build the reiser4progs.

I did that, and it all worked, but then the reiser4progs wouldn't install.
I tried some really ugly hacks, and almost got it to compile. The only
thing I changed before that is to add my own CFLAGS (from my Gentoo
/etc/make.conf): -march=i686 -mmmx -Os -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer. Those
shouldn't break anything, should they?
Once I've got my copy, how do I update it? I tried this:
cd libaal
bk pull
But it gives me no output for about 5 mins straight. Not much network
activity, not much CPU usage. Is this the right command to run? Is there a
way to make it verbose?
Also, I may have reiserfsprogs and the old libaal installed (just not in
/usr/local). I think I'll get rid of those, nuke the source dirs and most
of /usr/local, and try again from the top.

oh, it is still reiser4progs 0.4.16 there, it should be 0.4.20.
It seems that our public reiser4progs repository does not
get updated for a long time. Flx, would you fix it?

Hello,
i have an Problem using fsck.reiser4:
I've copied my whole system to an newly formatted Reiser4-partition. Just
after unmounting i ran fsck.reiser4. There where lots of fixable minor
corruptions so i used fsck.reiser4 again submitting --fix to it. After the
Run it told me that it has found an corruption correctable using the
"--fix"-option. Therefore i ran it again, but it seems that fsck.reiser4
isn't able to correct it. It tells me after every run to run it again with
the "--fix"-option to correct the problem, wasting my time and doing nothing
else.
Thanks for your attention
Jan Fengler
P.S.: I am using the latest snapshot (23.12.2003) with the patched
reiserfstools 0.4.20 on an 2.6.0-athlon-smp kernel with the
"preemtible"-option turned on.

right, the problem can be fixed only by --build-fs but was counted
as fixable corruption. Will be fixed.
Thank you for the report,
