we are going to use our fastman logo from our web page plus reiser4 in
letters, but we need some slogan underneath it.

Ideas?

i have a couple of ideas:

"my filesystem has your features as plugins."

"wonder where you files went? they wanted reiser4!"
or something like that. showing that the files themselves wants to be
stored on reiser4!

I was just thinking that most good advertising slogans appeal to the
visual centers of the brain. Think about it. To get people's attention
you usually don't appeal to the left half of the brain. Yes the
engineer in you is just amazed when we read bonnie or iozone stats, but
slogans are call forth visuals, and easy concepts.

Think about it. A t-shirt that has iozone stats on it versus one that
has a picture of a hard drive platter burning rubber like a
high-performance tire. Which one appeals to you emotionally? Which one
indicates speed better to the emotional mind?

'Reise to a new level!'

(sorry really bad pun ;-)

Yeah, I was thinking about that double-entendre. To rise is to go up,
escalate etc. But I was thinking about how to say it. Yours is pretty
close.

"The Reising Tide!" as in the old saying...

"The rising tide floats all boats"

We are the boats...

Well, of course it sounds like an ad. It is. What kind of statement do
you want to make? Before your users buy a t-shirt you need to know what
they most identify with on Reiser4.

Some haven't tried it yet so it's hard to identify.

Of those who have tried it and use mostly use it, what do they love
about it?

Fast?
Flexible?

Sometimes it can be hard to transfer an abstract concept into something
people really identify with.

What are you most proud of with Reiser4?
