Hey,

here is a patch which adds new sections to the sensors.conf.default.
The fts.conf can be used as a custom configuration in the wiki.

I was not able to create a new page, as described at the bottom of the page, cause no create button is there and I found no register button or such thing.
Could someone please add this custom configuration to the wiki as long as the patch is not included in the sources.

btw. Fujitsu Siemens Computers GmbH is known as FUJITSU TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS GmbH since 1st April 2009.
and the webpage address has changed to http://ts.fujitsu.com/, perhaps someone can change this in the device wiki page.

Kind regards
Thilo Cestonaro

While doing this I realized that it isn't a motherboard specific
configuration. It's just the chip configuration. On which motherboard
one can find the chips?

Jean, sorry I did a typo creating the page. So we now have a second
page named "Configurations/FujitsuSiemensTechnology" :(
Can you please delete the page? It seems I don't have the permissions.

I've updated the wiki but now we have a mismatch between the
manufacturer and the driver name. Jean, any objections?

This is a frequent problem, not just when manufacturers change their
name, but also when chip divisions are sold from one manufacturer to
another (for example Analog Devices to ON Semi, recently). But it
doesn't really matter. Driver names are arbitrary anyway, and once we
have settled for a name, this is how people (and sensors-detect!) know
the driver and I'd rather not change it afterwards: that's more pain
than is worth.

Sorry for the delay. We had some problems with lm-sensors.org infrastructure.

The motherboard specific configurations one can find now under

  http://www.lm-sensors.org/wiki/Configurations/FujitsuTechnologySolutions

and I've commited your patch for default config file a few minutes ago. See

  http://www.lm-sensors.org/changeset/5775/lm-sensors/trunk

Thanks,
Andre

Ignore statements in the default config file sounds wrong. What was the
point of implementing inputs on the monitoring chip if they really are
never used?

Hm, that's right. So should we remove the the ignore statements? Say yes and I

Hey,

I got a more uptodate list of systems which have either a hades or a syleus sm-chip. Could someone add theses to the custom configuration wiki page, please?

Thanks in advance.

What about the D215x-S from your last email? I can't find it in the
list below. Should we remove this one?

Can we group similar systems? I'd propose D2312, that would make the
webpage more readable.

D2312
D2314
D2317
D2344
D2348
D2364
D2438
D2584
D2587
D2598

or this one?

D23xx
D24xx
D25xx
D2608
D2679

We could do similar groups here to reduce the quantity.

Any comments?

I agree about grouping in the wiki. This really shows the limits of our
wiki interface, BTW. But in each page please also include the detailed
list of systems, so that we can feed this information it into whatever
interface we come up with in the future.

Yeah, you can remove this one, these system have the Heimdall Chip. So it was by accident anyway :(, and the config just changes
something for hades and syleus.

>Can we group similar systems? I'd propose D2312, that would make the

The DXXXX part is one system and the AX are different Variants of it. So can't totally forget the AX stuff as it might exist
a system D2312 A1 which has the Hades Chip and another D2312 B1 which has none SM-Chip onboard.
But you can group it like this:

Hades:
D2312 (A1, A2, C1, C2)
D2314 (A1, A2)
D2317 (A1, A2)
D2344 (A1, A2)
D2348 (A1, A2)
D2364 (A1, A2)
D2438 (A1, A2)
D2584 (A1, A5)
D2587 (A1)
D2598 (A1)
D2608 (A1, K1)
D2679 (A1)

Syleus:
D2618 (A1, B1, C1)
D2628 (A1, B1, C1)
D2778 (A1, B1, C1, X1, Y1)
D2812 (A1, A2)
D2817 (A1)
D2828 (A1, A2)
D2831 (S1)
D2836 (S1)

Or:
D23XX -> and at the page it links to, a concrete list which systems are meant.

What do you think?

@Jean:
> These system names are soooo sexy :p
Yeah, lovely isn't it!!! :P ;)

Ciao Thilo

Just another idea. The TitleIndex macro in the TracWiki has a second
parameter defining the depth.

[[TitleIndex(Configurations/, depth=0)]]

This only shows the manufacturer links.

    * Configurations/ASRock
    * Configurations/Abit
    * Configurations/Asus
    * Configurations/DFI
    * Configurations/Epox
    * Configurations/Evga
    * Configurations/FujitsuTechnologySolutions
    * Configurations/Gigabyte
    * Configurations/InsideTechnology
    * Configurations/MSI
    * Configurations/PCchips
    * Configurations/SuperMicro
    * Configurations/Tyan

A click to on the manufacturer link leads to the page showing the
motherboards. So the first page will be still readable and we could
list all the boards at the manufactures specific page.

What about this one?

Regards,
Andre

With the experience points gained, you just made it to the next level
and were granted a new skill: wiki page deletion :)
