unable to use any output nor spdif out with cs46xx

 Hi,


        I am using the following kernel, with CVS alsa from October 14,
2002... But I am unable to get no sound at all, after unmutting,
and putting the volumes to max with all outputs tried.

        I bought this card to get SPDIF in/out, too, because it was
reported to work in the Alsa Soundcard matrix ... but unfortunatelly it
does not.

        Any help ?

I would be helpful if you say which sound card you have ??
The SPDIF out should is reported to work with Hercules Game Theater XP, 
and a "Terratec card" (dont remember exaclty which one),
the SPDIF in, is still experimental, dont expect it to work.

At the end of the ALSA matrix page you got the following note: "*NOTE:* 
/Just because an I/O is listed does NOT mean it is guaranteed to be 
supported. Please check the mailing list archives before making purchase 
decisions based on requirements for IEC958 or ADAT I/O./"

..., I know i get fooled by this too in early times, it would be great 
if the ALSA matrix could include some more information
about  if a IO is working in current driver or not for a specific 
soundcard ...
