Timeframe for 2.4.21 quota patches?

Hi,

As ever the Linux lockin bites:

	My hardware needs 2.4.21 and my development work (now) needs reiserfs +
quota.

Any idea if/when to expect an updated patch?

I've got Oleg's merge of the data logging code at

ftp.suse.com/pub/people/mason/patches/data-logging/2.4.21

What has happened to 10-quota-link-fix.diff? Is it not necessary any more?
I'm asking because it is still mentioned in the README, but seems to have
been replaced by 10-quota_nospace_fix.diff

The ftp directory now has 10-reiserfs-quota-link-fix.diff.gz as well,
you need both of them.  Sorry for the delayed response, having some
hardware issues today I'll have to sort it all out in the morning.

Hello Chris,
I don't use the quota patches myself (any more), but every time there is
a new kernel release or pre-release this question (and the data-logging
one) is inevitably asked on this list. Are there any plans to merge
these into the mainstream kernel? Perhaps now 2.4.21 is out it can get
some more testing in the next -pre series?

Yes, there are plans to merge this to mainline starting from now.
Though Marcelo have announced this release to be "quick", so it
is not clean if he will accept large pages.
