Um, no, they haven't postponed WinFS, and V4 is just a storage layer --- 
no substantial new semantics.  So actually we are behind (except that 
our storage layer is way better than theirs) and have as yet no funding 
to catch up.  Probably after they ship someone will decide Linux needs 
funding in this area.....
