I have to apply this patch at every release of the kernel and I would like it to be integrated to the official release. What should I do ? I have never received an answer last time so please if someone could help, my hears are quite sensible and every time I change of kernel my CPU fan is at full speed and I have to recompile everything to re-enable the feature. Firstly you could post your patch here for review, then wait and see... Secondly, please write plaintext email? Hard newlines? Cheers, Grant. ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread

To fix this we will need latest version. (It should apply against 2.6.14rc4) >Could someone at least give me an answer Yes, please read the SubmittingPatches and CodingStyle documents (in Documentation directory of kernel) Apply that rules to your patch and send it back to this list. thank you Regards Rudolf ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread
