Using 2.6.18-rc4 and CONFIG_SCSI_SATA_AHCI=m, fails to detect ide cdrom.

lspci

and from dmesg|grep -i ide

The BIOS sees the CDROM but it is not detected by ide driver.

is it a SATA or PATA cdrom?

rc4 support for the PATA ports on the jmicron is broken. Please try
rc4-mm1 if you need it. A patch went to Greg a while ago so it should I
hope be fixed in rc5
