Hello I have an ar9220/9223 dual band atheros card mini-pci, in a mini-PCI to PCI adapter.

Shows up in lspci like this.

02:09.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR922X Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)

I am running Debian Unstable with kernel 2.6.30-2, and compat-wireless-2009-10-27.

When I modprobe ath9k I get this:

The above seems pretty clear. It means your programmed regulatory
domain 0x164 is bogus, your EEPROM may be damaged, so your card may be
busted -- a proper EEPROM content is required for proper operation.

Try compat-wireless-2.6.33.

My kernel is 2.6.31 and compat-wireless-2.6.33, with D-link
DWA547(AR9223). ath9k really works, but some problem in mesh type. One of
the MPs could find another, but others couldnot find anyone.

I'm trying to fix it, any idea?? Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I see the same error with compat-wireless-2010-03-12.

Try to recompile ath0k driver by turnning on the option like "allow system
overrides domain/country code". Not sure on the language tho.
