Hi,

I would like to begin using xenomai (I have no previous experience with it).
I would like to know which is the best linux distribution to begin with
it (the distribution
contains all needed libraries and correct compilator versions ...).

Any suggestion ?

Best wishes
Ramon

On what system do you intend to run Xenomai? On a desktop system? Or an
embedded board?

If a desktop system, I bet the simplest choice are dpkg based
distributions such as Debian or Ubuntu, since Xenomai exists as a Debian
package. But there are no needed libraries (except the C library) and
all gcc versions able to compile the Linux kernel should be supported.
So, if you plan to compile Xenomai yourself, all distributions are equal.

Yes ... by now I'm using a Desktop machine.

Thank you
