Greetings All,
We note the QorlQ processors, and the Freescale e500 PowerPC architecture
is not on the list of Supported Architectures at http://www.xenomai.org/index.php/Embedded_Device_Support.
On the other hand, that document states that the QorIQ P2020
is supported under "Supported Evaluation Boards".
Can you pl comment if the P1020 is supported or is going to be supported?
Rgds,
Makarand.

What is this? Some attempt to put pressure on us? It does not work that way.

I belive it is no a preassure. Just a confusion. As the QorlQ board is on
the list of the suported Evaluation Boards, he wants to make sure if
processor architecture as whole is suported.

Hi Gilles,
It is not a pressure and it is sad it looked that way to you.
We don't have any intentions but figuring out whether or not the P1020 is supported. We have been using Xenomai for a few years already and we are looking at P1020 as a potential platform for our new project, so knowing if we can use Xenomai with it is very important.

Dear Gilles,
As Michael mentioned, no pressure intended. Just wanted to communicate, why we are not sure about P1020. Sorry, if I sounded rude.
We would like to know if the P1020 is supported before considering it.
Warm Rgds,
Makarand.

That accounts for the first post.
I was answering the second.

Dear Gilles,
I think I, now understand my mistake. I had sent the query to the Xenomai-core group earlier. Then thought that I had not sent the question to the right mailing list and resent it to the Xenomai-help mailing list.
Please rest assured that I did not have any intentions of pressuring anyone.
I'm new to the list and hence was a bit unsure. My sincere apologies.
Rgds,
Makarand.

Relax, this is all fine. It's my bad, I'm the one who should have
answered, but I tend to give no priority to requests originating from
companies hiding behind @yahoo.com, unless I do know who's behind
actually. Gilles probably grumbles for the same reason.
So, the answer is maybe, maybe.
Maybe it already works, given that P2020 is supported and I don't see
much changes in P1020 wrt what the interrupt pipeline needs to know. I
won't know before I put my hands on such a beast.
Maybe it will be ported, I see no technical barrier, but I can't tell when.

BTW, Philippe, about six weeks ago I tried to run the 3.0 powerpc
ipipe kernel on the P2020, but it won't compile. The various irq_
functions have changed names and signatures, and so the ipipe
interrupt #ifdef code is out of date.
