Hello all,

I'm wondering if it's a known issue that the ath9k_hci driver is performing
unstable or is something on my hardware or system.

Anyway perhaps some of this info could be of help.

Regards
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Summary:

Device deauthenticate with this message in syslog:

"Oct 5 06:10:50 xarz-hole kernel: [70326.767749] wlan4: deauthenticated
from 00:23:69:1a:d7:eb (Reason: 7)"

And after this the device remains disconnected unable to associate again.

All info about my system setup:

Hmm... if there is no other errors, then this problem is new for me.
Try fallowing options:
- change encryption. If you use WEB you can disable encryption at all -
it is same. In case there is hardware enc., it may fail. (WEP isn't
encryption any more ;))
- try to reset wifi adapter. Unplug and plug it again.
- update firmware. If you can compile it, then use this one
https://github.com/qca/open-ath9k-htc-firmware

Ok thank you.

I'll test it a few days with these steps and I'll post the results.

Hi,

i forgot to say. There are some bugs caused by usb delay.
For example, for some reasons, this adapter performs better on USB 3.0
controller then on USB 2.0. I'm working on this issue...

Seems a false Alarm Oleksij.

I've an uptime now of 1 day 19:44h connected to another AP. Seems that the
Keep alive setting of the first AP was causing the deauth that I've given
you in the logs.
