First, thank you for taking the time to prepare this. However I think
this is wrong...
When we made this README we had no Release Notes at that time. Since
this we made a document which provides this information and also way
more hence it is bad to duplicate all this. I think we ought to point
to the Release Notes and remove the list of supported boards from the
README file..
What you think?

I think I agree. When I decided to work on this patch it was the plan B.
Do you have the link for:
* Release Notes for Dora
* Release Notes for master
What is the procedure when a new board was included?

This is the same of 1.5 for now.

I think every new board, from now on, need to be add in the release
notes at same time people submit it to the BSP. This avoid we getting
to run in the end of the release cycle and end getting more people
involved at the Release Notes work.

Perfect Otavio!
Thanks a lot.
I think we can start the review of RN as well. What do you think?
It's not 100% complete, but linux-default and u-boot-default is done.

Sure; can you send an e-mail pointing people to the github repository
and start a thread about it?

Please, take a look on Release Notes draft published at [1] in order to
make sure the board you're used is properly represented.
Please, focus on linux and u-boot default version table. And on FSL user
space package list.
There are some missing description and version:
linux-boundary description
linux-cfa description
linux-denx description
linux-timesys description
linux-wandboard description
linux-imx6dongle description
u-boot-imx6dongle description
u-boot-imx6dongle default version
If you use with some of those boards, and have one sentence description
telling why a new provider is needed, please, share!
Please, send a pull request to [2], or send an email to me and I will
make the change
I accept ideas on how to improve the Release Notes itself.
