I just pulled the latest, and the initialization code for the writable
pagetables (ptwr_init) isn't running at boot time, so Xen crashes.
It appears like there is nothing in the .initcall.init section:
fc551aa0 g *ABS* 00000000 __initcall_start
fc551aa0 g *ABS* 00000000 __initcall_end
I would have expected to see ptwr_init listed.
I don't know linker scripts, but perhaps xen.lds is out of date?

Pretty odd. It works for me. :-)
Is __initcall_ptwr_init a symbol within arch/x86/memory.o?
.initcall.init is included in xen.lds, so it should appear in the
final output image.
Perhaps a gcc/binutils issue?

Okay, it's due to a mad renaming of an attribute in recent versions of
GCC. I've checked in a fix.
