the handling of encrypted volumes at boot time is something every
distribution handles differently, it would be somewhat coincidence if
anyone here could help you (plus you don't even tell people which
distribution you are using).

Here you have come to the list dealing with problems with cryptsetup,
but as "cryptsetup luksOpen ..." already works for you, this list's
job is done (so to speak). I don't mean to chide you, but probably
this is the reason why you have not received any answers here yet.

Please take this problem to your distribution's maintainer(s) for
encrypted volumes.
