Prevent GuC firmware DMA failures during GuC-only reset by disabling
idle flow and verifying SRAM handling completion. Without this, reset
can be issued while SRAM handler is copying WOPCM to SRAM,
causing GuC HW to get stuck.

The naming here is a bit confusing, because the register and the field
have basically the same name with the word order changed. AFAICS bit 31
has a different name in the specs, so maybe match that?

Why are we skipping this if the status is different than
XE_GUC_LOAD_STATUS_READY?
During an SRAM save/restore the status can be different from that.

We should re-enable this after the reset, otherwise the GT won't power off.

The WA says that we need to poll this register until the status changes,
not just read it once.

Thanks for pointing this out. As discussed, I will check only when
MIA_RESET is set; otherwise, we will proceed with the WA.

I observed that after the guc reset the bit is getting cleared, so we do
not need to re-enable it on the top of that.

sure, I had a talk with Hema and a timeout of 5ms should work fine. I am
implementing that and in case of timeout also
it will for for guc reset.

drm/xe/guc: Add Wa_14025883347 for GuC DMA failure on reset
Prevent GuC firmware DMA failures during GuC-only reset by disabling
idle flow and verifying SRAM handling completion. Without this, reset
can be issued while SRAM handler is copying WOPCM to SRAM,
causing GuC HW to get stuck.

The more obvious case is macros, like MODULE_PARM_DESC, invoked at
file-scope, where C disallows code (it must be in functions). See
$exceptions if you have one to add by name.
More troublesome is declarative macros used at top of new scope,
like DECLARE_PER_CPU. These might just compile with a do-while-0
wrapper, but would be incorrect. Most of these are handled by
detecting struct, union, etc declaration primitives in $exceptions.
Theres also macros called inside an if (block), which "return" an
expression. These cannot do-while, and need a ({}) wrapper.
Enjoy this qualification while we work to improve our heuristics.

like DECLARE_PER_CPU.
