Hello

  Does someone know how to edit the items in GNOME
menu ? I would like to include a few more shortcuts
on it.
  If someone can help me, I would really appreciate.

Thanks

Roberto

To get a proper answer, divulge your secret distribution and version and
any modifications/upgrades you may have made to the software in question;
this namely GNOME.

My version of GNOME has a menu editor with it, check under:
  Menu->Programs->Settings

Or have a look at files in: /usr/share/gnome/apps

Good luck.

Scott.

Please check this link http://www.bluethingy.com/linux/rh8menu.html .
It is very good, it explains everything about menu management in RedHat
Linux 8.0 for GNOME. Same applies to KDE as well.

The main directories or files concerned with menu configuration are :

/etc/X11/desktop-menus
/usr/share/applications
/usr/share/desktop-menu-files
/etc/X11/applnk

etc...

Hope this helps you...Have fun playing with menus.

Pradeep
