What do folks recommend for a good PSK31 program? I've looked at linpsk
but it seems to be missing a few things - like changing the TX freq to
where you click.
So, any good suggestions?

To all: No WONDER I couldn't hear anybody on 20M - everybody was reading
their mail!
Thanks for all the recommendations - I am looking at gmfsk but since it
depends upon FFTW V2 and I have FFTW V3 installed I'm going to have to
do some hacking to make it work (and of course I shall post my changes
back to the authors).

FFTW2 and 3 should be able to coexist on the same machine.
At least that was the case last time I looked.
What is the situation nowadays, do major distributions
come with FFTW3 preinstalled and without FFTW2? Would
supporting FFTW3 make installation significantly
easier for people?

They can, if you force the RPM to install.

Neither was installed, and I went with the newest. I've fallen back to
the older libs and am getting ready to try out on 20M

It's no issue for Debian. Both co-exist, and I don't know of any plans
to remove fftw2.
