Greetings All.
Don't want to start a religious war, but I've been having issues where
openSUSE looses my ethernet card, so I'm look for an alternative distro
that meets a few simple requirements.
1. Preferably rpm based
2. Supports ax25 and amateur apps
3. Supports software RAID 1 boot
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Willie, WJ3G

Willie,
Before I give any suggestion, I have one question. Have you tried just
changing your Ethernet card? OpenSuSE, in my experience, is as stable
as other distributions.
Both Mandriva and Fedora can use the ax25 RPMs. If you aren't hard over
on RPMs, ubuntu has a collection of .deb ax25 installation packages.
RAID1 booting shouldn't be a problem with any of the distributions.
There are How-Tos on howtoforge.com for the distributions cited.
