This is in french. But I cannot translate it very well.
The subject is something like "request for info".
Then he asks if anyone speaks french.

The rest is too complex for my feeble french to understand...

Regards,
Ken

Ok,

I think I have to answer that one as I am probably the only French speaking
person at this point.

Let me first give a translation of the question:

> Quelqu'un parle-t-il Français???

--> Is there somebody speaking French ? ->

Yes, myself.

> Si oui, je vous remecie par avance de m'expliquer le but de l'équipe
> de linuxia64 et le rôle que peuvent jouer chacun de ses membres et des

--> If yes, I thank you in advance for explaining what is the goal of the
--> linuxia64 team and the role that each member and partners are playing.

Don't forget the CERN people! :-)

I ignored the message because the answer was already available on
http://www.linuxia64.com/, the very place you have to go to subscribe
to this list! If the guy can't read English, he's in the wrong
business, anyway.

Hi,

Is there any place where I can get this bootable CD or at least an
image of it so I could burn it myself?

Thanks

Don't forget about Cygnus.

The Red Hat purchase of Cygnus confused matters a little, but technically,
Cygnus still exists (for a few more months), and is still a Trillian member.

So is this version installable from the CD-ROM on an IA64 platform?
Or do we have to use an IA32 system for installation?

Also, in order to compile the kernel code, there needs to be a 64bit
compiler. Is there one available for the public?
