Hi All,
I have Red hat 6.0 version of Linux with me, and have it installed on a Dell Inspiron 2500. The Linux OS goes shares the machine with Windows 2000 professional, and goes on a seperate hard drive.
I have following question regarding the setup, if someone can answer them :-
1) The unix booting is currently controlled by a floppy. I am not sure how to go about making linux boot from the hard disk. I get no such option during installation.
2) Is their a vmware available for Redhat 6.0 so that i can run Windows 2000 prof. from within Red Hat 6.0.
3) Where does the source code of linux get installed. And what code actually gets written onto the boot sector. Which file actually has this code and where does it reside.
TIA,

Ashish-
This is a news list devoted to Linux on the IA64 CPU, not a general
perpose Linux discussion group. (It's OK, we don't bite even if
you post here by mistake :-)
I would suggest you check out the site `http://www.linuxnewbie.org/'.
They have articles there that should be able to answer your questions.
