That or only call check_legacy_ioport() when we're poking _gratuitously_
at legacy space, not when there's a properly-detected port.

It is CONFIG_PARPORT_PC_SUPERIO=y that is causing trouble. Lets see what
lkml has to say about this config option.

What have you got against my powerbook? :P

With this patch, I only get the option of building an EMBEDDED6xx
kernel - PPC_MULTIPLATFORM has disappeared for 32-bit, and the 32-bit
powermac kernel build with it.

There are a few more things I'd like to get in 2.6.19-rc1 if the
authors can get their patches ready in the next day or so - some
embedded stuff from Leo Li, some patches to allow us to build a single
64-bit kernel that boots on everything including legacy iSeries from
Stephen Rothwell, and a lazy IRQ disable patch from me.

Unfinished.  There are several ways in which the current 
spider-net driver doesn't do things the way Greg KH's, etal 
book on device drivers recommends. I was planning on combing 
through these this week.

Ok, that's good. However, removing the netif_stop_queue
was an obvious oversight that happened during the cleanup
last year.

Putting that one line back in should be a really safe fix for
the problem of overly high system load we sometimes see.

Hello Roland!
Below is a patch of ehca, which fixes a bug (crash) that occured when ib_ehca
is loaded after ib_ipoib. This patch initializes struct ehca_shca with
struct device*, then creates internal resources and finally registers the
ehca IB device. And that is the proper sequence to do.
In addition to that this patch contains a very small format improvement 
in our tracing function.

Most device drivers seem to print version numbers in the module_init 
routines (i.e. right before calling pci_register_driver), rather than 
in the probe routines; so this patch follows this convention.

Hmm. I have a patch from 5 weeks ago that seems to insert a bunch 
of these. I'm not sure why it hadn't been mailed before, I'll

Yes. Its making an approximate count of the queue length, and I figured
that if its approximate to begin with, an unlocked version should be
just fine.

Hi Roland!
Below is a patch of ehca, which fixes a bug (crash) that occured when ib_ehca
is loaded after ib_ipoib. This patch initializes struct ehca_shca with
struct device*, then creates internal resources and finally registers the
ehca IB device. And that is the proper sequence to do.

For the automated cross-compile builds at OSDL, powerpc 64-bit 
'allmodconfig' is failing.  The warnings/errors below appear in 
the 'modpost' stage of kernel compiles for 2.6.18 and -mm2 kernels.

  because they hid sizeof/in_be32/out_be32 operations from the reader.
o minor style fixups

* [PATCH 7/7] add support for the mpc832x mds board

Add support for MPC832x MDS evaluation board.

This patch depends on the 8360+QE lib patches by Leo.

The MPC832x processors (MPC8323E, MPC8323, MPC8321E, MPC8321) sport the e300c2 core plus a QUICC Engine (QE).  This patch adds support for the 832x MDS evaluation board.

The 832x MDS dts and defconfig files are pending more tests.
