Well, I got a response from MOTU. They don't seem to be very interested
in providing any help at all, which is what I was expecting:

Forest,

At this time MOTU does not release any kind of hardware development kit
or
other specifications to develop drivers for MOTU audio or MIDI
interfaces.
While there currently are no drivers available to use MOTU hardware on a
Linux system, if the Linux OS does become a more viable platform for
DAWs
then it is possible that MOTU will develop drivers for that platform at
some point in the future.

Thank you for writing,
Nic Tuttle

Oh, well. Guess I'll have to get my hands dirty. Probably not the best
opportunity for getting my feet wet with Linux drivers, but, eh...I paid
$1000 for this thing, and I'm officially done with MS and Apple.

Appreciate the responses, I'll keep you all updated.

thanks,
Forest

Let's hold them to this. Once the RT preempt patches are in the
mainline kernel, we'll ask them again.
