Martin posted a patch to remove the support for allowing merging of discard
requests. But this seems to be a reasonable use case for allowing mering
discard requests. CCing Martin.

Martin posted a patch to remove the support for allowing merging of discard
requests. But this seems to be a reasonable use case for allowing mering
