It seem to me that it's not AC97 modem.

Do ALSA support softmodem with Silicon DAA  ?

   Aureal Vortex 8810.
   - Aureal Enhanced Motorola Softmodem with Silicon DAA support.

You need to identify the chips on your modem daugther card.
(Most likely a Silicon DAA Si30xx )
