This does not imply the code can detect the presence of secondary modem 
codec

Since I only has single codec sound card, I am not sure snd_ac97_bus() 
can be called twice by audio and modem codec.

May be we cannot split the code into snd_vortex_mixer() and 
snd_vortex_modem_mixer
