Hi,
I was wondering whether any tests have been performed validating the
reading times I attained and whether any plans have been made if
validated to overcome the problem.
And if the latter what the expected time frame would be.
I am not pushing only, if the time frame is measured in days then there
is little point I pursue a different route. If on the other hand it is
going to take months then I will start with the alternative immediately.

I will do some test this week. The "IRQ service task" feature is on my
to-do list ...

... but this will require "free" time. But as usual, patches are welcome
and funding helps.

More likely month. I believe, that a CAN PCI card already cures your
latency problems.
