Hi,
I have a first version of the slides for Tokyo, for the introduction and
the session with overview of the Montreal Summit, uploaded so that we
can discuss it.
You can find the files on
https://www.linux-foundation.org/~till/tmp/lftokyo2007/
Note that on the slides for the Montreal Summit overview the last slide
is not complete yet.
In the other sessions selected subjects (most relevant for manufacturers
will be discussed). There will be not very many slides for them. I will
work on that slides tomorrow.
Here is the agenda for Tokyo:
http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/LFJapanSymposiumTokyo2007
Please look into the slides ASAP and make your suggestions, so that I
can do the most important changes tomorrow. For smaller changes I will
also read e-mail while I am in Tokyo.
Updates and further slide sets will be uploaded to the same place.
Till

I re-uploaded the slides for the first session in Tokyo
(printingsummit2007.*). The current version has the following changes:
- Reordered the topics
- Added OP overview from Glen (coherence, ...)
- Added topics to last slide
Feedback welcome.

All,
Please review these slides and give feedback to Till ASAP.
I've just reviewed them on the phone with Till and may send some
more comments tomorrow.
Cheers,
- Ira

Hi Till,
Very good! I carefully read all of your slides this morning.
They are a wonderful distillation of the long HTML summary I wrote
about the Open Printing Summit in Montreal.
They are also still *much* too long to cover in 90 minutes in Tokyo,
so you'll have to skip over some of the slides quickly.
A few edits:
- Page 16 - "expecially" --> "especially"
- Page 17 - break top bullet into two lines about Mac OS X versions
- Page 18 - "Port monitor MIB" --> "PWG 5107.1 Port Monitor MIB"
(to emphasize that this is an open standard, not a vendor MIB)
- Page 18 - last line - change "PCK" to "PCL"
Thanks for your hard work. Good luck in Tokyo this coming week.
Cheers,
- Ira

Thank you very much for your proofreading. I have re-uploaded the files
with your proposed corrections applied.
